That day we traveled by bus to Warsaw to visit that city. We had to get up very early at 5:30 in the morning because the bus left at 6:30 a.m. One thing that surprised me is that there was already sun at 4 in the morning!
The two hours of travel on the bus were great. We all sang famous songs and time flew.
First we visited the opera of the city. It's huge! Moreover, it's well-known for having its own work areas in the same building to create what they need for the play.
A guide showed us the whole building, including areas where people cannot normally enter such as workshops of floristry, wood, decoration, clothing... We also visited the back of the stage and where all machines that place the set are saved. I loved it!
Afterwards, we went to the most famous square in Warsaw. It's beautiful. It has some colored houses on one side and a statue of a man holding a sword in the middle. A legend says that when the sword that the man holds touches the ground, a catastrophe will occur in Poland.
After that, we visited the Palace of Culture and Science. It was for many years the tallest building in the city. It was a gift from the Soviet Union to Poland, so at first some Polish citizens hated the building. It is used as an exhibition center and office complex and it's currently a symbol of Warsaw and Polish national heritage.
Then, we continued walking around the city and learning more things about the city with our guide.
